Straight answers
Do I have to pay monthly?
No. The free plan takes payments forever with no monthly fee — you only pay the transaction percentage. The monthly plans exist for merchants who want the back office too.
Does paying monthly make my transaction fee cheaper?
No, and we'd rather say so up front. PayShap is 1% whether you pay us R0 or R200 a month.
I'm a coffee shop / car wash / bakery — where do I fit?
Coffee shops and bakeries make things to order, so they want Kitchen. Car washes book someone's time, so they want Beauty. If you can answer 'do I make it, sell it, or book it', you've found your plan.
What if I pick the wrong one?
Change it in a couple of taps from your profile. Your merchant account, your QR and your history all stay exactly as they are.
Can I start free and upgrade later?
That's what most merchants do. Take payments today, add the back office when the shop is busy enough to need it.
